Call for ScreenSask Board Nominations – Step Up & Help Grow Our Industry

ScreenSask is opening its call for Board of Directors nominations—and if you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, this is a strong opportunity to do it in a meaningful way.

Our board plays a hands-on role in guiding the organization’s direction, advocating for the industry, and helping ensure that Saskatchewan remains a place where screen-based storytelling can grow and thrive. That work benefits from a wide range of voices—producers, crew, service providers, and members from across the ecosystem. If you’ve built experience in the industry and have an interest in where things go next, your perspective is valuable at the table.

Serving on the board isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about showing up, contributing your expertise, and working collaboratively with others who care about the same outcomes: more opportunity, stronger infrastructure, and a healthier industry overall. It’s also a chance to build relationships, deepen your understanding of how the sector operates, and play a role in decisions that have real impact.

We’re especially keen to see a broad cross-section of the community represented, and we strongly encourage members from underrepresented groups to put their names forward.

The deadline for self-nominations is May 31, 2026. Voting will take place from July 3–28, 2026 via Simply Voting, with the results announced at ScreenSask’s 2026 Annual General Meeting in Saskatoon on July 29, 2026.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, take a few minutes to review the nomination details and requirements. When you’re ready, visit the nomination page on the ScreenSask website to learn more and submit your application.
