Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the University of Regina signed a transfer credit agreement that creates a new pathway for students pursuing careers in film production.
Graduates of Sask Polytech’s Media Production diploma program can now ladder into a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film Production at the U of R with up to 60 credit hours, equivalent to two years, recognized towards a four-year degree.
Graduates who complete the Sask Polytech Media Production diploma on or after June 1, 2025, with a minimum 60 per cent average are eligible for up to 60 transfer credits toward the U of R’s BFA in Film Production. The agreement took effect January 1, 2026 and will remain in place for five years.
