ScreenSask Welcomes Dan Crozier as Director, Workforce & Industry Development

ScreenSask is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Crozier as Director, Workforce & Industry Development, effective March 9, 2026.

Born and raised in Regina, Dan is a graduate of the University of Regina’s Media Production & Studies program (Class of 2003). With more than 20 years of experience working on film, television, and commercial productions across Saskatchewan and beyond, he brings a deep understanding of both on-set operations and the broader industry landscape.

Most recently, Dan served as Senior Film Steward and Business Agent for IATSE 295, where he acted as lead negotiator and a key liaison between producers and crew. In that role, he strengthened labour relations, supported workforce growth, and advocated for Saskatchewan’s skilled production community.

As Director, Workforce & Industry Development, Dan will oversee ScreenSask’s training, professional development, and capacity-building initiatives, including leading the rollout and implementation of the new Apprenticeship Stream Training Program. Working closely with producers, unions, guilds, educational institutions, and industry partners, he will guide the program’s development to ensure it meets the real-world needs of Saskatchewan’s screen sector and creates meaningful career pathways for emerging talent.

Dan’s combination of hands-on production experience and labour leadership positions him uniquely to bridge the needs of industry and workforce. His strong connections within the local crew community and his commitment to building sustainable careers will be central to advancing ScreenSask’s strategic priorities. He will work alongside ScreenSask’s Executive Director, Robert Hardy, and Operations Manager, Conner Nix.

“Dan’s experience and leadership make him an outstanding addition to our team,” says Robert Hardy, Executive Director at ScreenSask. “As we launch our Apprenticeship Stream Training Program, his knowledge of set culture, relationships with both crew and producers in the Saskatchewan industry, and knowledge of labour relations and workforce development will be invaluable in ensuring its success.”

When he is not working, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and writing long-winded jokes disguised as rock songs with his band, Cheap Heat.

ScreenSask looks forward to welcoming Dan to his new role and working with him to strengthen Saskatchewan’s production workforce and industry capacity for years to come.
