SaskInteractive is pleased to announce the launch of its Market Access Program, designed to support Saskatchewan-based game developers in attending key international industry events and connecting with publishers, investors, and global partners.
The program is supported with funding from the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and delivered in collaboration with Creative Saskatchewan, creating a coordinated approach to expanding market opportunities for local studios.
Through the Market Access Program, SaskInteractive will identify and support developers who are ready to present their games at major industry markets such as the Game Developers Conference (GDC), DICE Summit, and Gamescom. Selected participants will receive support to attend these events and engage directly with international buyers, publishers, and investors.
As part of this coordinated effort, developers approved through SaskInteractive’s program will be recognized by Creative Saskatchewan as having met a key threshold of market readiness. While applicants are still required to submit a full application and adhere to the requirements of Creative Saskatchewan’s Showcase or Sell Travel Grant, SaskInteractive’s approval will serve as a form of vetting aligned with Creative Saskatchewan’s assessment criteria. Each organization will continue to administer its own distinct funding program; however, this alignment ensures that high-potential Saskatchewan developers can more effectively access complementary supports to participate in global market opportunities.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment of SaskInteractive and Creative Saskatchewan to strengthen Saskatchewan’s interactive digital media sector. Support from the CMF reflects the funder’s ongoing strategic priority to increase regional industry participation, facilitate market access, and create economic opportunities for digital content creators.
