CFF You-CAN Pitch Competition

The Canadian Film Fest (CFF) has announced the return of the You-CAN Pitch Competition for the second consecutive year.

This initiative provides Black Canadian filmmakers with the opportunity to pitch their feature film projects to a panel of industry experts and receive feedback and mentorship to advance their careers. Applications are now open, with the deadline Feb. 22, 2026.

CFF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate the art of cinematic storytelling by exclusively showcasing Canadian films. The festival unites film-loving audiences with diverse selections of features and shorts from across the country. In it’s 20th year, CFF is Toronto’s largest film festival exclusively showcasing the work of our nation’s diverse filmmakers – both established and emerging – whether their stories unfold at home or around the world.

CANADIAN FILM FEST runs from March 24 – 29, 2026 at Scotiabank Theatre.
