The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition (CSSC), Canada’s premier short-form screenwriting competition, is now accepting submissions for our upcoming 2026 7th Edition in partner-ship with the Yorkton Film Festival’s Golden Sheaf Awards Gala.
Since 2008, the CSSC has helped launch the careers of Canadian screenwriters whose work has gone on to be optioned, produced and celebrated internationally. To date, we’ve helped secure over $250,000 in production financing, with alumni screening at festivals such as Cannes, Yorkton and beyond.
