The Yorkton Film Festival (YFF) has announced the full list of nominees for the 2026 Golden Sheaf Awards including: best director of fiction and non-fiction; research; the new craft category best-performance; along with the Ruth Shaw – Best of Saskatchewan Award. The Ruth Shaw Award is named after Ruth Shaw, one of the original founding members of the Yorkton Film Council in 1947.
The festival juries judged all entries and determined the nominees for all awards, including the 17 main and 4 accompanying categories and a technical award category announced in March. The nominees for the Best of Festival category are not announced in advance and will be presented at the conclusion of the award night.
