About the Presenters:

Leah Camenzind is the Executive Director of the TELUS Fund where she oversees governance, finance, operations, and program design. She previously led the TELUS originals film program and co-founded the TELUS independent film program, stewarding over $15 million in investment into the production of more than 100 social-purpose films and series. These projects resulted in over 350 film festival selections, 100 awards, and 250 community and educational screenings, plus acquisitions by CBC Gem, TVO, Knowledge Network, Paramount+ Canada, Hollywood Suite, and others.

Shay Wilson is the Senior Analyst, English Market, for the TELUS Fund where she supports Producers, evaluates projects, manages contracting and contributes to program development. Her two decades of Canadian and international film and television industry experience span production, distribution, business affairs, funding, project development and sector development. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and is also a Filmmaker and Story Editor, bringing a rare combination of creative insight and business expertise to the realization of screen media projects.
