Apprenticeship Stream Info Session

February 5, 2026

We wanted to give ScreenSask members a heads up that when the doors open to the next round of Saskatchewan’s Feature Film & Television Production Grant on April 1st, 2026, there’s going to be a new component to it called The Apprenticeship Stream.

We’re holding an information session to explain the program and answer questions. That takes place Feb 5, 2026 at noon. Use the buttons above and below to register.

The Apprenticeship Stream is an innovative workforce development program created to support the growth of Saskatchewan’s film & television industry. It will do so by providing opportunities for on-set training, and by attracting productions to Saskatchewan that otherwise would go elsewhere due to lack of crew availability.

The program has been designed by Creative Saskatchewan in consultation with ScreenSask, IATSE, DGC, ACTRA and ICG. It will be delivered in collaboration by Creative Saskatchewan, who will administer the Apprenticeship Stream Grant, and ScreenSask, who will oversee the Apprenticeship Stream Training Program and mange onset mentorships & training in collaboration with producers, unions and guilds.

While the guidelines and full details won’t be released until Spring, you can learn more about this program at apprentice.screensask.com.
