SK Arts Programs & Funding

Become a LIVE Arts Guest Artist

LIVE Arts invites artists to apply to be guest artists for the 2026-27 season broadcasts. Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply. LIVE Arts is a dynamic distance education arts program designed for Saskatchewan students in Grades1-8, and supports the Saskatchewan Arts Education Curriculum and is delivered via the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education LIVE Network (CommunityNet). Deadline March 29, 2026.

The Artists in Schools grant program has undergone several important updates. Key changes include:

  1. Two annual deadlines for all three streams – Development, Projects, and Residencies – are now set for May 1 and November 1.
  2. Development stream applications are now assessed through SK Arts’ peer review process and submitted on the same deadlines as Projects and Residencies.
  3. Projects stream structure change: The Projects stream is no longer a partnership grant. There will now be a single applicant, either the school or the professional artist.

The Artists in Schools program supports collaboration and partnerships between professional artists and schools to enhance arts activities that support arts and learning. The program aims to provide meaningful artistic experiences, boost student engagement, build cross-disciplinary skills and inspire lifelong interest in the arts.

Artists in Schools is a SK Arts program supported by funding from Sask Lotteries through the partnership between SK Arts and SaskCulture Inc., and from the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Education.
