Rogers Communications Partnership created the Rogers Series Fund to support the production of high-quality, independently produced television series in Canada.
The Fund has been created to provide contributions of $4-6 million per year to Canadian independent producers for television series, triggered by a pre-sale to both: (i) a privately held Canadian broadcasting service with national reach; and (ii) an online undertaking (streamer) that is available to Canadian audiences.
The Fund will contribute up to 20% of the lesser of: (i) the total production budget, or (ii) final cost of eligible projects, to a maximum of $500,000 per project. Learn about Rogers Series Fund Guidelines (2026) and application requirements.

Additionally, CRTC has approved Roger’s application for broadcasting licences to operate Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, Investigation Discovery and Magnolia Network. Rogers’ TV services for those channels have exceeded 210,000 subscribers, making them no longer exempt discretionary services.
