National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on summer solstice, June 21st, the longest day of 2025.
For generations, many First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities have celebrated their cultures, language and traditions at this time of year.
Check out events scheduled across the country and discover what is taking place in your community. The office of the Treaty Commissioner has a list of Saskatchewan events on their website.
Watch free films available online NFB’s Indigenous Cinema, CBC Indigenous Films Collection, or in-person at Saskatoon’s Remai Modern.
