Colin Scheyen (B.Ed., B.A., M.A.) is a Saskatchewan based filmmaker, author, and educator.
His feature documentary Love, Oran was a Super Channel Original program that was named the Best Canadian Documentary at the 2021 Northwestfest in Edmonton.
His interactive documentary Mum’s The Word (2020) won the Grand Remi award at the Houston International Film Festival and was the first ever recipient of the Mental Health Award at the Yorkton Film Festival.
His most recent film, Toxic Neighbour (2022), won the Ruth Shaw Award at the Yorkton Film Festival, as well as best short documentary at the 2022 International Peace Festival in Toronto, and best short film at the 2022 International Uranium Film Festival in Rio De Janeiro and Berlin Germany.
More recently, Colin is the Associate Producer of the APTN show Grandma Sherry’s Kitchen.
Other credits include the Bell Fibe Series, Highway to Health (2018), Director of Photography for the feature film The Secret Marathon of Afghanistan (2019), Assistant Director of the APTN show The Feather News, and director/producer of the Google Spark film, Nuclear Hope.
