Founded in 2001 by Anand Ramayya, KarmaFilm has built an impressive track record with over 80 hours of content and 40 awards including five Geminis (Canada’s Emmy), two Canada Awards for excellence in diverse content and official selection for festivals ranging from Sundance to Durban.
A versatile producer, KarmaFilm has worked with creatives from around the globe producing for partners such as Amazon, Netflix, CBC, Crave (HBO Canada), Rogers, APTN and others.
Honoured in 2020 with the Reelworld TRAILBLAZER AWARD and most recently recognized by Canadian Media Producers Association with the 2022 Established Producer Award KarmFilm is a member of SMPIA, CMPA national Board of Directors and ACE Producers Network.
With offices in Saskatoon and Toronto KarmaFilm is committed to employment and story Equity, the core team is gender balanced and represents LGBTQ+2SL, BIPOC and Settler Communities of Canada producing films representative of our communities and perspectives.
