The upcoming 21st Edition of the International Francophone Film Festival of Saskatoon CINERGIE, presented by the Fédération des Francophones de Saskatoon, will be held from April 30th to May 3rd 2026. CINERGIE Festival prides itself in supporting and featuring local Saskatchewan francophone filmmakers. With English sub-titles, this is a bilingual film festival initiative designed for the general public and is the only francophone film fest in SK.
Festival CINERGIE is welcoming 300-400 participants during the four-day general public festival, 1,500-2,000 students during its school programming, and more than 1,000 students during school workshops each year. The festival offers highlights for the Fransaskois/French-speaking community, promoting togetherness, cultural celebration, and the art of filmmaking. Held at the Roxy Theatre in Saskatoon, CINERGIE is a vibrant event that brings together film lovers, filmmakers, educators, and community members to celebrate Francophone culture. Through its diverse programming, the Festival contributes to Saskatchewan’s cultural landscape and fosters a greater appreciation for multiculturalism.
