CAVCO Application Updates

The Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office (CAVCO) co-administers two federal tax credit programs with the CRA; CPTC and PSTC. Find out how to apply for the Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who work in a producer-related or key creative position for a production applying for a Film or Video Tax Credit should apply to receive their own CAVCO Personnel Number. Find out how to Apply for a CAVCO Personnel Number here.

New link for CAVCO Online Updates to the login process for the CAVCO Online application system went live on July 4, 2026. This has resulted in a new link to the portal; please update your bookmarks to ensure continuous access.

New versions of CAVCO forms used for the purpose of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC) or the Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC) are now available. Applicants should start using the updated versions of the forms immediately. They will be mandatory for all applications received on January 1, 2027 or later.

Applicants can access the new forms in the following three sections on CAVCO’s website:
Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC)
Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC)
CAVCO Personnel Number
