Applications are open again for the Canadian Academy’s Executive Residency Program!
The Executive Residency Program is a Canadian Academy initiative dedicated to providing industry access for mid-career professionals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or persons of colour. It matches high-level executives (such as VPs, Executive Producers, Development/Production Executives) with emerging leaders to develop their creative, business, and leadership skills, and make meaningful connections in the industry.
The Executive Residency Program is presented with Supporting Partners, Telefilm Canada and Ontario Creates; Collaborative Partners, Bell Media, Cineplex, and Boat Rocker; and Community Partner, BIPOC TV & Film.
This is a bilingual program: upon request, translation to French will be offered whenever possible, with placements made in English-dominant environments.
An information session will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:30PM ET / 12:30PM PT.
Application deadline is Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 5PM ET.
