Saskatchewan filmmakers have an opportunity to take part in the Whistler Film Festival’s Women in Focus Industry Circle this December — with support from ScreenSask.
ScreenSask will support up to two Saskatchewan residents selected to participate in Women in Focus, covering the cost of their participation in the program and registration for the Whistler Film Festival + Content Summit.
Women in Focus brings together women and non-binary filmmakers for a curated industry experience designed to build connections, expand professional networks and create opportunities to engage with industry decision-makers.
The program begins with an online session in November, followed by in-person participation at the Whistler Film Festival, December 2–6, 2026.
Travel Support
Participants will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, meals and other costs associated with attending the festival.
Saskatchewan participants may also be eligible to apply to Creative Saskatchewan’s Showcase or Sell Travel Grant, which can support up to 50% of eligible costs. Applicants should review Creative Saskatchewan’s program guidelines for full eligibility and funding details.
The Women in Focus Industry Circle is intended for experienced women and non-binary filmmakers with screen credits and a dramatic feature or television project in development. Applicants should review WFF’s full eligibility requirements before applying.
Applications close October 12, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
