Regina International Film Festival & Awards 2026 (RIFFA) programs and screenings wrapped on Saturday, August 22nd with a Red carpet Gala event at Regina’s Darke Hall. From 468 submissions, 98 films were officially selected to entertain viewers online and in-person, over a ten day period. Stories from across the globe showcasing languages and cultures which are generally not displayed by main stream media, brought an awareness of different lifestyles and struggles others face in their daily lives.
Ten RIFFA awards were handed out on Saturday evening including “A PRIEST WALKS INTO A BAR” for Best Saskatchewan Short. Congratulations to Moose Jaw filmmaker Tim Lenko for adding this hardware to the many festival awards his entertaining film has been garnering.
